Since 2005 the Marco Polo Team aims to promote the culture of travel, mainly by motorbike, in areas outside the traditional tourist routes.
The primary purpose of this association is to combine raid and travel projects with charity ventures in the crossed areas.


GUATEMALA

This adventure has engaged in the exploration of Guatemala, with departure and arrival of the raid in Antigua, historic city heritage of humanity. The adventure took place through the difficult tracks of this nation, fords, active volcanoes and mountain passes, reaching remote Maya sites and inaccessible natural havens, as well as the San Raymundo Hospital, the destination of our charity project.
VIETNAM

This fantastic and exciting raid took place in the extreme north of Vietnam, along the borders with China. This land is characterized by beautiful and untainted areas, extraordinary nature and colorful ethnics. The route took place mainly on tracks and single – track off road, with crossings of fords, suspension bridges, mule tracks and jungle itineraries, until reaching small and isolated villages overlooking rice fields and magnificent views.

A new incredible adventure lived by the team in the “pearl of the Indian Ocean”. This is a great adventure: intricate jungles, mountains, aboriginal ethnic groups, beaches, extraordinary fauna and flora, UNESCO heritage sites, delicious food and a mix of cultures. The raid aims to support the Dilmah Conservation, an organization that also fights for the aboriginal Veddah ethnic group or “forest people”, heir of the Neolithic community that inhabited Sri Lanka 18,000 years ago, threatened nowadays with extinction.
